I have done a lot of research on monitors recently and in the end i came up with two great monitors:Samsung S23A950D 23-Inch Class 3D LED Monitor -Silver $449.99AndViewSonic V3D245 24-Inches LED 3D-Ready Monitor - Black $486.89The Samsung monitor comes with a unique design but smaller size and less contrast (5,000,000)The ViewSonic Comes with bigger size and more contrast (20,000,000) with speakers ! but it is more expensive.However somehow it felt in ViewSonic i am paying for features BUT in samsung it felt that i am paying more for the brand name it self.So i have decided to buy the ViewSonic & WOW it is GREAT !! As the other reviewer said horrible sound YES but who cares ?! I'm buying The Monitor Not the speakers...One more thing the control buttons SUCKS !! very hard to understand and too hard to get use to.I would really recommend this monitor & I will update the review when i test the 3D feature.

I purchased the ViewSonic 3D Vision monitor to use with my new Dell XPS L702X laptop with the Nvidia GT 555M 3D video card. I also purchased a new HDMI 1.4a cable to make sure I had full compatibility. I had previously purchased a 23" Samsung monitor, but the Samsung monitor was not NVidia compatible. The ViewSonic monitor is great. The 3D affects are what I expected, and with the right plugins, I had access to YouTube 3D videos. But forget about the included speakers. They are too tinny to be understood clearly. I reverted to my laptop speakers and all is good. Unfortunately for any gaming geeks, the Nvidia graphics card is not enough to play most video games (none of the Demos on NVidia's web site for example).

An excellent monitor. Very sharp, great colors. 3D support + the build-in transmitter are very impressive. And the price is relatively decent.

I upgraded old 24 inch Gateway monitor to this one.Connected Xbox 360 by High speed HDMI cable and PC with DVI cable to it.I have 3D working on Xbox add PC.We tested 3D glasses with new Halo combat evolved ANNIVERSARY on XBox.It is great to play this game in 3D.PC is runnig few yers old NVIDIA Gforce 9800 GTX.After installing new drivers for Video card we had 3D test of Team Fortres 2.Very happy with this buy.

bought this monitor and was super excited about it.. first glance was good but then i looked in the middle left of the screen and there was a stuck/ dead pixel.. not super noticable but enough to were i am trying to get a new one... other than that pixel issue which happens a lot on nowadays technology, the imagery is awesome.. i got the nvidia vision 2 glasses with it so now i can compare 1 and 2.. although it says 120 hertz refresh rate, if you r running through an 3d full hdmi cable, to play games it has to be 1920-1080 at 24hrtz 1280-720 at24hrtz.. i think its like that with all hd 3d monitors.. or just because im running it through a full hd hdmi 3d cord.. still its amazing picture quality.. no height adjustment but nearly unlimited angle adjustment so that defienantely makes up for the no height adjustment. I would definantely recommend this monitor.. i don't think anyone else will have the issue with the pixels... i thin it was a fluke.. overall its a great monitor for 3d and 2d hd gaming...

I recently upgraded to this monitor from an older VX2240. I wanted the 1920x1080 resolution and 120Hz for gaming, the 3D is just a bonus. I was not disappointed in the least. This monitor is fast and the games I play are noticeably smoother now. The default setting for response time is set to high and I noticed the lowest setting still yielded great performance without color response lag of the higher two settings. 3D performance is remarkable, but that's not what I bought this monitor for. The 3D is a little dark, but most games have a brightness or gamma adjustment that fixes this issue.My only complaint, not mfgr's fault, is that a lot of games have to be played in windowed mode to utilize the 120Hz refresh rate. It's a game patch thing that will hopefully be addressed for older games with patches.I would surely recommend this monitor for anyone looking for a new performance setup.System specs:3.0GHz Quad Core @ 3.7GHz4GB DDR 3SSD Hard driveGTX 580 Video Card
